Oct 02, 2015 · Apple watch update is taking hours. I started my update two days ago. First it had to be downloaded to my phone which took forever and then I spent several hours yesterday trying to get it installed. The progress bar took HOURS to get the watch downloaded, verified, and installed and after HOURS it failed. I tried again, this time it told me the watch must be connected to power (it was) and it needed to be 50% charged (it was) so it wouldn't update.

Oct 20, 2017 · I've just updated my iPhone 6s and am trying to now update my series 2 watch. First it said it would take 3 hours to download, then changed to 7 hours and now says 3 days!!! I've checked online and it says the download and install should take 1.5 to 2.5 hours to complete.
