Mar 28, 2019 · The Ancient Riggs House, on Vine Street in Gloucester, was built in the 1640’s. Thomas Riggs bought it in 1661. It’s one of only three surviving squared-log houses in Massachusetts, and the oldest existing home on Cape Ann. In 1998, it got electricity, heat, and running water.
