Where does this idea come from that you can't get parking at Alewife after 8 am? Every time I've parked there, I've gotten parking. Maybe the "it is difficult to get parking" rumor comes from some exceptionally lazy people who think that because they drive into the garage and don't find it basically empty, so they can take any space they want, that's a "difficult" parking situation.

11. Re: Parking near Alewife T Station. Paying with cash is still an option. You are supposed to bring your garage ticket into the station with you and pay inside (machines are near the escalators). There are several machines where you can pay for parking on your own, with one that accepts cash.
