The U.S.S. Albacore was the first modern day submarine. It's shape, propulsion, etc are what all submarines are based on today. The entire submarine is located on dry land and the story on how it got there is remarkable itself. The museum and gift shop are curated by naval veterans. You can go into the submarine itself, the kids will love it!
