We were in Alamogordo to see White Sands and stayed for several days. The Zoo is one of the few attractions open during Covid. Very shady, lots of benches or logs to rest on. They have a nice playground and grassy field with gazebo. There are also two picnic areas, one is nicely shaded. We ended up staying about 4 hours, there was no rush.4/5(204)

These events typically take place at the Alameda Park Zoo from May through August. COVID-19 completely changed our way of life for every member of our community and 4th Fridays were canceled for all of 2020.
