Tourists & First Timers - United States Air Force Academy

    The Stanley Canyon and Falcon hiking trails are open for military/government ID card holders only between the hours of 5 a.m. and sundown every day. Trail use by visitors with non-military/government ID card holders is allowed only during normal visiting hours, 9am-5pm every day.

Getting On Base - United States Air Force Academy

    If you travel to the U.S. Air Force Academy by car, you will find that entrances are clearly marked. Public areas of the Academy are open to visitors and guests from 5:30am to 10:00pm. Visitors can enter through the North Gate (exit 156 on Interstate 25) or the South Gate (exit 150 on Interstate 25) and will need to provide one of the following: Military ID.
