8 Hours. Description. This course covers basic first aid training, the use of automated external defibrillators (AED's) and adult cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR). To successfully complete this course, participants will perform adult CPR, use the AED in four scenarios, perform a patient assessment, perform bleeding control, splinting, bandaging, and score 85% or better on two written exams.
