Patrolman (Former Employee) - Scotland - 1 August 2021. Great job satisfaction from the customer point of view, unfortunately that's as far as it goes. Management are continually harassing you with figures, very hard to book holidays. 11-12 hour shifts and very little ongoing training if any.

The only good thing is working 4 days in a row then having 4 days off, however each shift will last close to 11 hours. The salary is fair but for working nights (19:45-7:30am) getting an extra 20% on top of your hourly rate from 00:00-6:00am isn't enough and not worth it when you get to your final pay-check.

THE WORST PART- The hours are ridiculous, the new contract means you have to do a lot of overtime (standby). You have to book the extra hours on top of your shifts or on days off. Expect to be worked to exhaustion. You will find yourself working 7-9 days in a row. They can also make you 40mins late past your finish time subject to certain rules.
