There is limited evidence addressing this. However, with a cephalic presentation, a Cochrane meta‐analysis 42 concluded that epidural anaesthesia increases the risk of assisted vaginal delivery. As vaginal breech delivery cannot be expedited until its final stages, epidural anaesthesia might increase the risk of caesarean section.
