After 30 seconds or so, a 'Disconnect' button appears while the whirlygig continues, and about 30 seconds after that, a dialog with an OK button appears that says "A test notification has been queued for delivery to the selected recipient" I never get the test message. I have Backup Exec setup to send out various notifications. The only problem is I'm not receiving them. I've got the SMTP configuration set up the same way I have SEPM setup which is sending out email notifications. After clicking send test on both email and message, I get the confirmation "A test notification has been queued for delivery to the selected recipient." It appears not to work with external addresses. I have checked the spam filtering on all external email addresses (4 different including gmail & Yahoo) and there are no messages hiding there.

Jul 28, 2015 · Queued means that the log which would confirm whether the message was successfully delivered doesn't have confirmation of delivery to the recipient server. This can occur to an old message if the log in question is rotated (and the confirmation is deleted) or could occur for a new message if the '250' packet from the recipient server hasn't yet been received by the Spam and Virus Firewall.
