This was my first time visiting 31st Street beach and we stopped by from 10:00-12:30 on a lovely, overcast Sunday, on Father's Day. The water and the sandy part of the beach were clean, but be careful as there is a lot of litter and trash in the grassy areas. Upsetting that visitors just dump their trash! Parking can be a little crazy on a nice day, but it's only $1.75/hr before 9 p.m. and $0.75/hr after 9 p.m. (I don't really like that you have to pay no matter what time it is, but oh well)23 Yelp reviews

The 31st street beach is a nice lake beach. Clean and well staffed with decent facilities. The lifeguards are very attentive (almost overly so, but I respect that) and plentiful. Nearby is a very well done playground for when the kids are beached out. Note: bring chairs and shelter/umbrellas as there were none for rent. Lastly, that view!4/5(23)
