Aug 09, 2009 · How many hours should you expect to get out of a 200-225hp Optimax? What is considered high hours on a optimax? I am looking for one for my boat to increase the engine size. Today I passed on a 2004 225 on Ebay when I found out it had 900+ hours. That seemed like a lot of hours.

To say the least we've been astounded by its reliability and down right great gas milage. It has served us well.
